Well we finally started painting after living here almost for 2 years. Cierra's room was first. It was a "slime" green with stenciled hot pink flowers and florescent blue dragonflies with florescent blue trim. Now her room is hot pink with a dark brown trim. Now on to the living room and hallway.

Last Day of 2008

Well the last day of 2008 was very interesting for Cierra. She got her braces. So far everything is going fine. I just hope everything works out well.

Last Christmas Celebration

Here are pictures of our last Christmas celebration. The picture of all the kids are all of my grandmothers great grandchildren. As you can see this family is growing. The other picture is a picture of Norman and Heather with Haley. Christmas was fun this year but tiring. I actually enjoyed going to work today.

Christmas

Well on Friday my sister and her family, my mother and Albert, and my grandmother all came down to celebrate Christmas. Everything went well for the most part. The kids really had a great time. Here are some pictures.

Christmas Is Here!!!

Well the girls woke us up at 1:30 wanting to open presents and we told them to go back to bed. They came back in there at 2:00 so we decided to go ahead and get up. So at 2:00 this morning we were opening presents. The girls seem to be excited with what they got. I have to say rock band has been a huge hit here. Cierra also really enjoys her PSP that "Santa" brought.
Tomorrow will be another fun day when we have Christmas with my mom, sister, and grandmother. I have been cooking all day long. I have made Chocolate chip cheesecake, peanut brittle, cookies, fudge, and kaluha balls. Tomorrow Iwill fix the ham and all of the sides. I never realized how much I like to cook. The bad thing is the first of the year I'm going on a diet. I'm getting huge!

Christmas Eve

Today was a good Christmas Eve! One of the best one's we have had since my grandmother passed away 8 years ago. When she was alive we would always go to her house on Christmas Eve and have dinner and see my dad's side of the family. For the most part, that was the only day of the year I would see them. So today my dad came down and I fixed him lunch. I had made him his favorite pie which is raisin pie (yuck). He really enjoyed it. We just really enjoyed spending time together. I also fixed him some peanut brittle.
Tonight the girls are having a hard time sleeping. I figured since this was the first year Cierra knew Santa wasn't real that she wouldn't be as excited. I think she is more excited than she has been in the past. I have to say I'm real excited too! I cut back a lot on spending this Christmas but I think it helps us remember what this time is suppose to be about. Which is Family and Jesus. I hope everyone that is reading this has a very Merry Christmas!

Haley's Big Day

Sunday we celebrated Haley's Birthday! Grandma Linda made the cake and Haley LOVED IT!!
Plus, I got a picture of my sister (private pain in the ass). HAHA!

Friends Christmas Party

Saturday night we got together with our friends to have our annual Christmas Party. The kids had drew names a few months ago and the adults just bring a gift and we draw numbers to find out which gift we get. We had a great time.

Friday

Well Friday was a very yucky day. The weather was warm outside but unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy it. Cierra had the latest stomach bug going around. She felt awful. I never seen one little person have so much vomit in them. The good thing was at least it was only a 24 hour thing. The bad thing was it was the last day of school before the Christmas break and she was all upset that she missed the party.

TGIF

Well today has been a roller coaster ride. First, I woke up with a sore throat and a severe headache (I hadn't gotten one those in a while). Took 2 aleive and a Tylenol. Around lunch today I was feeling better. Then I had to leave work early to go to the funeral home. I have to say I'm terrible at these things. I don't know how to act or what to say. I have been very fortunate in my life not to have a lot of death. By the time I got home I have started having shortness of breath, chest is hurting, I have the chills, throat hurts, and a lot of sinus drainage. The good news today is that my sister is on her way home! I hope I get to see her soon.

Christmas Get Together

Saturday night we had our annual gag gift party. We invited several friends over for a gift exchange and one of our friends brought their rock band for the Wii. We had a blast! The gift exchange was fun and we played rock band until 2:00 in the morning. I can't wait for our next get together.

Birthday

Well today is my birthday. I was really hoping everyone would forget. This morning when Chad woke me up I didn't think he would remember. I thought to myself this is good he doesn't remember. Right before he walked out the bedroom door he said "Happy Birthday".
I though oh well that will be the last time I will hear it today. While getting ready Courtney sends me a text message that says "Happy Birthday". Then when I dropped Cierra off before she shut the door to the car she told me "Happy Birthday". I though to myself well that's all over with.

I get to work and 2 of the ladies I work with left me a presents on my desk and Chad text me all day long telling me "Happy Birthday". Plus, my mother and Aunt called me to tell me "Happy Birthday". Well I didn't like turning another year older but it's better than the alternative. Even though I wish everyone forgot my birthday it was really sweet they remembered.

If I don't post before or on, Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with family and friends and make everyday special.

A+ Certified!!!

As of Nov. 19th I'm now A+ Certified. That is why I haven't posted anything in a while. I have been studying and praying that I would pass the 2 test. I guess all of the praying and studying paid off!

Hayrides

Well Saturday my niece and one of my nephews came and spent the night with us. We had a great time!!! I took them to a friends house and we went on a hayride. The kids really seemed to enjoy spending time with their Aunt Christy and Uncle Chad. You could also tell they really missed their mother. I asked my niece about her mother and she almost cried so I had to changed the subject. I don't think I will ask about their mother in front of them any more. I could also tell their dad misses their mother too. I will be so glad when she gets out of basic training. I pray she doesn't get deployed. Sunday morning after we had breakfast I took the kids to get their costumes for Halloween. We had a really good time. I can't wait to see them next weekend.

Back to Work

Well I had to go back to work today after having a wonderful vacation with my family. I am so happy we had the opportunity to take them to Disney. I hope they will look back at it with pleasant memories. I was kind of glad to go back to work just to have things back to normal. I know that sounds insane but it's true.

I don't know what it is but here the past couple of days I really miss talking to my sister. I wish so bad she hadn't join the army. Her kids miss her, her family misses her, and so does her husband. I swear I think she is going through a mid life crisis at 28.

5th day Downtown Disney

This was the final Disney thing we did. These pictures were taken at Downtown Disney. All downtown Disney is, is a huge shopping mall. We thought that they had a Build a Bear store but it wasn't opening for 2 more weeks. We did see some neat Lego sculptures. Chad and the girls got to see the boat used in the movie Forest Gump. We did find a build a bear store at the Florida Mall.
