Hayrides

Well Saturday my niece and one of my nephews came and spent the night with us. We had a great time!!! I took them to a friends house and we went on a hayride. The kids really seemed to enjoy spending time with their Aunt Christy and Uncle Chad. You could also tell they really missed their mother. I asked my niece about her mother and she almost cried so I had to changed the subject. I don't think I will ask about their mother in front of them any more. I could also tell their dad misses their mother too. I will be so glad when she gets out of basic training. I pray she doesn't get deployed. Sunday morning after we had breakfast I took the kids to get their costumes for Halloween. We had a really good time. I can't wait to see them next weekend.

Back to Work

Well I had to go back to work today after having a wonderful vacation with my family. I am so happy we had the opportunity to take them to Disney. I hope they will look back at it with pleasant memories. I was kind of glad to go back to work just to have things back to normal. I know that sounds insane but it's true.

I don't know what it is but here the past couple of days I really miss talking to my sister. I wish so bad she hadn't join the army. Her kids miss her, her family misses her, and so does her husband. I swear I think she is going through a mid life crisis at 28.

The last day of Vacation

5th day Downtown Disney

This was the final Disney thing we did. These pictures were taken at Downtown Disney. All downtown Disney is, is a huge shopping mall. We thought that they had a Build a Bear store but it wasn't opening for 2 more weeks. We did see some neat Lego sculptures. Chad and the girls got to see the boat used in the movie Forest Gump. We did find a build a bear store at the Florida Mall.

4th day Epcot and Magic Kingdom

On the fourth day of our Disney tour we went to Epcot. It is the more educational park. It is also the one park where you can visit with the characters. Cierra had a great time seeing Mickey and Chip and Dale. They also had a Nemo ride that was inside a huge aquarium. The best ride up there was soarin. It felt like you were really hang gliding.

3rd Hollywood Studio

On the 3rd day of our Disney vacation we went to Disney's Hollywood Studio's. Cierra got to meet Woody and Buzz from Toy Story. We all rode the Star Wars ride which was a simulator but it was really fun. Chad, Courtney, and myself rode the Aerosmith's rollercoaster. It was a great ride just not long enough. All of us except Cierra rode the Tower of Terror. That was the best ride up there! Cierra liked the Toy Story Mania ride. While we were there Jordan Sparks American Idol winner was up there filming a video so we got to get a snap shot of her.

Second Day Magic Kingdom

The second day we went to the Magic Kingdom. It has changed a lot since I was a kid. Courtney and Chad enjoyed Space Mountain. Cierra enjoyed seeing the castle and all of the characters walking around. I really enjoyed splash mountain. I thought that was a great ride. All of the Disney parks are so clean. All of us enjoyed the haunted mansion. All of the workers really get into character.

First Stop Animal Kingdom

Well the first day of our Disney World trip we hit Animal Kingdom. It was neat. They had this HUGE tree called "The Tree of Life" It has every creature known to man carved into it. We went on the safari and seen all kinds of animals just running wild. That was really neat. Pocahontas asked Cierra if "she was the princess of her tribe". Cierra told her "yes".

Vacation

Well on Saturday Oct 4th we left out at 3:45 am headed to Disney World. Everyone was so excited. The girls didn't hardly sleep at all on the way down there. I started out driving and drove until we got over the Georgia state line. We stopped at Ihop and ate (Chad's favorite breakfast place). After we finished he started driving. We arrived at our condo at about 4:10 Saturday afternoon. The place we stayed at was really nice. It had a nature trail, 2 swimming pools, activities center (me and Courtney won money playing BINGO), and 2 hot tubs.

16 Years Today!!!

Well as of today Chad and I have been married 16 Years!!! It has been a wonderful 16 years. I just can't believe it has been that long. I wish I was still the same size I was then. Oh well, Chad has a lot more of me to love. There is a lot more of him to love too! We are both looking forward to a lot more Anniversaries.

Civil Service

On October the 1st I started Jury Duty. I really thought that I would get in there and never really be called. Well, that is what I get for thinking. I have ended up on a jury. The judge thought the trial would only last 2 days. Guess What? That's right it is going on the third day. They told us when the assembled all of the prospective jurors that we wouldn't be held over 4:3o. Yesterday and today both we didn't get out until after 5. This morning before court I decided I would get up early and get ready because yesterday it was hard to find a parking place. It was a good thing I did. I went out to the car this morning to take Cierra to school and my car wouldn't start. My first thought was "OH SHIT"! Here I have to be at court and we are going to go to Florida in just a few days. Chad ended up having to leave work to get Cierra to school and me to court. After that he went home and got my car started. Apparently, it is something with the security system. He had to reset it. After Chad got the car fixed he decided to go fishing. So he loads the boat up and heads out. When he gets about half way to the river the tire blows on the boat trailer. I think it is safe to say the Sluder's have had a rough day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
