Sleep???
While in church this morning my beeper went off. One of the printers in ER broke down and I told them that as soon as church was over I would be there. Went in and fixed the problem pretty quickly. After returning home I decided that I would take a little nap. When you have teenagers you might as well hang this idea up. In a 45 minute time frame I got 15 phone calls, 2 people came to the door, and Courtney turns her music wide open and leaves her bedroom door open and goes outside to wash the dog. Not only that Courtney has to come in every few minutes and ask me a question. Oh well, I should sleep real good tonight.
VBS Kick Off
Well Saturday we had our VBS kick off. This is my first year helping with this and I can't help but to be a little bit nervous. I told Mrs. Valerie (the lady in charge of our VBS) I didn't feel qualified to teach a class but I would be happy to help with the food. She then asked if I would be in charge of the food. I told her I would. I am hoping I do a good job. I am going to serve for the most part healthy food which is mainly fruit. I just really hope the kids like it.
The kick off was really fun. We all ate and then played games with the kids. We even colored the kids hair with colored hair spray. Bro. Kennith even had his hair colored. I really do enjoy being a part of this church. I just hope they don't hate me after my effort with the food.

Courtney's Ball Tournament
Last night along with the slumber party Courtney had a softball tournament. It didn't go in their favor. They lost the game. They played the only team that beat them during the season. They came in 3rd in the tournament. It's not first but it's not last either. They are a very good team and they play great together. Hopefully next year they will win the tournament.
Cierra's 1st Slumber Party
Last night was a very busy but fun night. Cierra turned 9 on Thusday and she had a slumber party Friday night to celebrate the milestone. She had a BLAST!!! She keep telling me several times that it was the bestest slumber party ever! They swam in the pool, they rode bikes, and played video games all night long.

I need a vacation
I think the title of this post says it all. I think I am a little stressed! UGH!!! I know everyone gets stressed. Between work and family if your not stressed then you are on something good and email me and tell me what it is.
Though I love seeing the girls play softball it is very stressful trying to figure out how to get them to the different parks when Chad has class and you have to work until 5:00 and the game starts at 6:00 and the coach wants them at the park an hour early.
I love what I do but computer work is stressful. There is always something not working. It could be a paper jam in a printer, or a laptop crashes 5 minutes before they are going to use it for a very important meeting and there isn't another one available, and then there are all of the projects.
I enjoy being able to show people how to use different programs or how to do different things on a PC. I don't know what it is but here the past few weeks I have noticed my patience level has been very low. I'm sure it is because of all the stress. So if you have thought that I have been a little more agitated than usual don't worry I have noticed it to. I will do my best to work on my attitude. Just call me out on it. I won't say I will be happy about you calling me out on it but maybe it will be a virtual slap into reality. I know you are probably stressed too.

Cierra's Softball Team
Tonight Cierra had her last coach pitch softball game. They had a winning season. They never lost a game which is a wonderful task in itself. This last game was the closest call I believe they have had all season. The important thing is they WON!!! YEAH! I think they had fun but who cares! They WON!!! After the game the little winners went to Channey's for ice cream to celebrate a wonderful season.

Cierra's New Bike
Cierra's birthday is this upcoming week. With that in mind we decided that we would take her to pick out her bike she wanted for her birthday. She actually wanted a boy looking motorcycle bike. Chad was able to talk her into a more girly bike. She must really like it because she has rode on it all day long.
Chad's mother came down today to visit with the girls. They were happy to see her and tickled pink with their birthday presents. I know she enjoys seeing the girls.

Courtney's new furniture
Courtney now has new bedroom furniture. As you can tell by the picture the rednecks got all of it home in one load. The furniture Courtney had was a bedroom suite that My mother had when she was a teenager so it was old and falling apart. We hope this set last until she moves out. She seems like she is pretty happy with it. The only bad part about getting the new furniture is Chad accidentally put a hole in the wall bring it in. I know it was an accident but it really bothers me because I know he doesn't have time to fix it and I'm too cheap to pay someone to come in and fix it and paint the living room.

Summer Nights
I don't know about you but I absolutely love summer. I just love the bright sunny sky, the birds singing, and of course all of the outdoor activities. I just wanted to show you what my backyard looks like on a nightly basis. They have a blast out in the pool. In fact, all of the kids in the neighborhood are usually in their swimsuits and ready to go as soon as I pull into the driveway. As soon as I get out of my car I have kids coming from every direction ready to swim. At least I know they are getting some exercise. I better enjoy this while I can. One day I will miss the sound of kids playing in the backyard.

Married to a Nerd
Over the weekend Chad worried himself silly over a test he had Monday night. It's an Economics test so I understand that the material can sometimes be a little dry and hard to understand. Monday before his class he called me to tell me he was nervous about the test. I told him good luck and that I would see him when he got home. About 7:30 pm I get a text message saying he made a 99%.
Tonight he is going through the paper trying to find an article for his short paper he has to turn in every night of class. I asked him how he did on his last article. He said that he made a 10 out of 10. Can you say NERD?

Party Like it's 1999???
(Picture of Courtney and Cierra when Cierra is getting ready to come home from the hospital)
Today one of our co-workers had his wife to bring their 6 week old baby by work. He has been telling us about all of the differences between his oldest child and the new baby. The new baby likes to scream her head off from the hours of 4:00 pm - 10:00pm. He said his oldest never done anything like that. No matter what no siblings are just alike.
I started think about my 2 girls and the differences they have. One thing they did have in common was they were both wonderful babies. Courtney started sleeping through the night at about 3 weeks and Cierra started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. That is all they have ever had in common besides family.
I loved seeing his new baby. The little fingers and toes. The sweet little smile and that baby smell. No matter how sweet they are there is no way I would ever want to go back to the baby stages. The dirty diapers, packing a diaper bag, all of the checkups, and making bottles. Even though I don't want to go through that again I am so glad I had that wonderful experience with my girls. It was a hard stage in life to go through but at the same time it is the most memorable and unforgettably wonderful stage to go through.
I think my co-worker is going to make it through the baby stages but I think that baby is going to break him down. If not now she will get him when she's a teenager.

Getting Started
Hello!
I thought that I would start this blog site so that I could keep my friends and family up to date with us since gas prices are so high we can't see them as much as we would like.
I feel guilty today because we didn't make it to church. I done something stupid yesterday that caused us not to be able to make it. I decided to have some nice quite time and got my float out and slept in the pool for about 2 hours. I sunburned my back and my butt cheeks. No I wasn't nude I just had a wedgie while I was sleeping. I woke up several times last night because I would roll over on my back. Work should be great tomorrow.
